As you’ll be aware, this year’s Wargrave & Shiplake Regatta will be held on Friday 5th & Saturday 6th August on our traditional stretch of the Thames, midway between the two villages.
Inevitably our costs continue to rise. To ensure the future of our event, we now own – and need to store and maintain – a fleet of over 30 traditional boats, whilst the challenges of conserving and upholding the standards of such a traditional local and village event become more financially burdensome every year!
We write in the hope that you might consider supporting the Regatta as a Subscriber.
Such on-going support is invaluable to an event like ours, and allows us to plan ahead with confidence, not only for the year in question, but also for the future.
May I therefore ask – if you intend to support for the Regatta this year, would you forward your subscription to the undersigned as soon as possible. This will allow us the appropriate time to forward a Subscriber Badge and Enclosure wristbands, to ensure they arrive in good time for the event.
