Are you new to the Regatta? Do you need some help dusting off your paddles? Or fancy getting to grips with punting in a canoe?
Whatever help you need, we’re on hand with two free sessions this summer.
On Sunday 23rd June and Sunday 7th July 2024 between 1pm and 4pm, our experienced trainers will be available at Wargrave Boat Club to provide top tips and coaching.
Location:
The training sessions will take place at Wargrave Boat Club, Station Road, Wargrave, RG10 8EU.
There will be a shuttle ferry running from the Shiplake river bank and there is no need to book – just turn up on the day.Parking is along Station Road, or there’s ample bicycle parking down at the club.
Under 17s:
Under 17s must be accompanied by an adult (they’ll also be required to wear a lifejacket). All attendees must be able to swim.
What to wear:
You don’t need any special clothing but shorts or leggings & t-shirt or sweatshirt & trainers work well. And bring a change of clothes if you’re trying the punting as you might go for an accidental swim! Wargave Boat Club has changing facilities.
Food and drink:
Wargrave Boat Club will have refreshments for sale.
